Dane County Teen Educators
PATCH Teen Educators are high school students, who are passionate about improving adolescent health care experiences. Their main role is to deliver PATCH educational workshops, although they are often asked to be involved in other PATCH efforts. Teen Educators participate in a in-person training at the beginning of the program year and continue their learning through bi-monthly, group enrichment meetings. They are paid for actively participating in meetings and other PATCH-approved activities throughout the year. Being a PATCH Teen Educator is a 9-month commitment. As a part of this experience, youth become expert presenters, powerful storytellers, and reliable resources for their peers.
Meet the 2019-2020 Teen Educator Team!
Hello! My name is Adam (pronouns he/his) and I'm a senior at Middleton High School. I spend a lot of time juggling, reading, and plotting Dungeons and Dragons games I never find the time to play. This is my third year at PATCH, where I hope to work on improving the way that schools connect students with health care services.
My name is Ava and I’m a junior at La Follette high school. I enjoy reading, writing for my school newspaper, hammocking, and going on hikes. This is my second year at PATCH and I can’t wait to soak in all this knowledge so I can continue to educate my peers. I love being able to see the minds turning to see a different perspective at workshops.
Hey friends! I’m Gaby and I’m a senior at West High school, and my pronouns are she/her/hers. In my free time I love to sing and write music, play lacrosse, and experiment with cooking wacky things! I decided to join PATCH because I want to educate myself and be a voice for other teens who don’t know how to advocate for themselves.
Hi! I’m Ani, I’m 16 and a sophomore at Edgerton High School. I think doing Art stuff is pretty cool and music is pretty awesome too.
I joined PATCH because I believe it’s important and progressive and a wonderful idea over all and I would love to be a part of that journey.
Hi! My name is Breana I am a junior at LaFollette high school and this is my third year as a Teen Educator at PATCH. I enjoy playing volleyball, traveling, and hanging out with friends. I joined PATCH because I want to make the healthcare system a more welcoming place for youth. I want teens to have a voice when dealing with their own health.
Hi! My name is Delenn and I’m a Junior and Madison West High School. I love to play soccer, read, and listen to music. This is my first year as a PATCH Teen Educator, and I’m excited to get to know more about the issues that are happening in our community, and help other teens spread awareness and share their stories.
Hi, I’m Martin. I’m 15 years old and my pronouns are he, his, and him. I currently am a sophomore student Sun Prairie High School. I like to read, play video games, and do photography. I have lived in three different countries and I’m able to speak two different languages. I joined PATCH to help providers learn from my health care experiences.
Hi! My name is Anjali. I am 16 and a junior at James Madison Memorial High School. My pronouns are she her hers. I play ultimate frisbee! I decided to join PATCH because I want to learn more about my health care rights as well as how I can help teach my peers what their rights are. I also really want to find a way to make a difference in my community.
My name is Camille, I'm 17 years old and my pronouns are she, her, hers. I am currently a senior at Edgewood High School. My favorite thing to do in my free time is anything outdoors from hiking to playing fetch with my dog. Because of PATCH, us teens have the ability to educate our peers on the power they have over their health care!
We hire new Teen Educators for the PATCH Dane County Site EVERY YEAR!

My name is Noelle, I'm 17, my pronouns are she/her/hers. I'm a senior at Shabazz City High School. I love animals (especially dogs), reading, listening to podcasts, spending time with my family, and focusing on my mental and physical health. I joined PATCH because I wanted to broaden my activism and make a difference in an area I didn't know a lot about before joining.
My name is Siena and I am a junior at Verona area high school. I think that Dunkin’ Donuts is clearly better than Starbucks, and I love yellow labs! This is my second year in PATCH, and I knew I wanted to come back this year because I saw the greater impact my PATCH work was making on my peers and health care providers.
I’m Zoe, my pronouns are she/her/hers. I’m a senior at JMM high school and I’m 17 years old. I play the guitar, I associate with a group of weirdos I call my rugby team, and I read. Through PATCH I’ve come to learn so much about the health field and other’s experiences. PATCH gives me an outlet to express my opinion and create positive change.
