PATCH for Teens
PATCH for Teens: Peer-to-Peer is a 60-minute workshop led by PATCH Teen Educators. It is intended to be delivered outside of a typical school classroom setting (e.g., health fairs, conferences, youth group meetings, student organizations/clubs, and other places young people gather to learn from one another). The primary goal is to empower young people to begin managing their own health care experiences, and equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate and advocate for youth-friendly services.
Participants will understand the importance of learning to manage their own health care experiences.
Participants will explore steps they can take to make sure they’re getting the care they need and deserve.
Participants will gain new skills to help them advocate for their own health and well-being.
Cost: $150. This fee includes all participant materials and helps cover staff preparation time, Teen Educator training and time, local travel, and program evaluation and improvement. Workshops outside of an existing PATCH program area may be charged an additional travel fee.
